Aura Cocina

If you're looking for a Brooklyn spot that nails the balance between trendy vibes and bold Latin-Asian fusion, Aura Cocina is where you want to be. Tucked away on 315 Meserole St, this place brings the energy—think casual yet intimate, with a splash of romance and the kind of live music that keeps things lively all night.

Aura Cocina isn’t just about looks though—the food’s got attitude. Take their Skirt Steak, for example. Perfectly grilled, rich in flavor, and served with just the right amount of flair. But if you’re feeling adventurous, you can't skip the Kani Crab Empanadas—crispy on the outside, creamy and packed with crab on the inside. And then there's the Red Curry Fried Calamari. It's not your usual calamari—there's heat, there’s crunch, and a whole lot of flavor in every bite.

Now, let’s talk starters—because yes, you’ll want them all. The Spicy Jumbo Lump Crab Guacamole turns heads (and taste buds) fast. Smooth guac meets tender crab, with a kick that makes you reach for another chip every time. Or go for the Lechon Bao Buns—fluffy, savory, and downright addictive.

What really ties everything together? The atmosphere. It’s loud in the best way possible. Conversations flow, cocktails sparkle, and the DJ knows exactly when to drop that track that gets the whole room moving. Whether you’re on a date or with your crew, Aura Cocina just gets it right.

I had not been here in a few years and I had totally forgot about here. Glad they survived the pandemic. The food here is well presented and good! The drinks also are varied, creative and tasty as well. Our 2 servers were so friendly and very attentive and we had such a good time with the music in the background and the settings. I believe they both had "jose" in their names. I drank a bit there so I hope I did jot forget, but I definitely will not forget their friendliness and welcoming nature. Need to return during the summer to go to the "rooftop" next to restaurant!!!

Came here for Valentine's day and had an amazing time. They had a pre fixed menu. We started with the shrimp dumplings which were very tasty. For the entree I had the skirt steak which was a really nice size and was cooked perfectly. Drinks were a bit on the pricey side but I guess this is New York for you. What I really loved was the live salsa band. They were really amazing and really made the night unforgettable.

I have to say that this restaurant really gave Cartagena vibes. The live music, the location. All of it was just on point. The food was excellent as well. The octopus the sushi were really tasty. It's a great place to grab drinks and just look through the appetizer menu and explore. The service was also really great.

Went to Aura for my sister in law birthday bunch.. what a dope place.. The atmosphere and decor in Aura was great and inviting. A lil sad the location seems secluded in Brooklyn, where people may miss it. Place space is nicely set up, eating areas and chill spot to watch the huge tv or smoke hookah with your group.. They were playing and had a DJ, I hate when that doesn't the music at a restaurant is super loud, but this place music level was good. Loud enough to hear , but not loud where you can't have a conversation with your people. The waiter was great and on top of his service.. As for the food, it was great. We ordered all four appetizer for the bunch section. Bunch mains were on point. Drinks were pretty and tasty. We spent around 400 for 6, so price so also great. Price also included several drinks..

GREAT FOOD AND DRINKS, LIVE BAND WAS ALSO OUTSTANDING. Just left wondering why were we charged tax on the gratuity of 20%. I'm pretty sure that's not legal.
